Anna Lipiak is a young and promising polish pianist. born in 1992 she started playing the piano at the age of 6 and by 2011 she graduated with the highest degree from the „Feliks Nowowiejski” National Music School in Zgorzelec, Poland where her teacher was under Cezary Kłos. Since 2010 she has been studying under Grzegorz Niemczuk. Currently she is a 3rd year student at the Silesian University in Katowice (Artistic Faculty of the Music Institute).

 

She won many prizes on international piano competitions: 1st prize at the 24th Concorso Internazionale „Camillo Togni” Gussago (Brescia, Italy) (2013), 1st prize at the 2nd International Competition „Spring Piano Encounters” in Krakow(2013), 4th prize at the 16th ‘Grand Prix International et Rencontres Jeunes Talents’ (Montrond les Bains, France) (2013), 1st prize at the 9th International Interpretation’s Competition in Ružomberok (Slovakia)(2012), 3rd prize at the 9th and 10th International Polish-German Piano Competition in Zgorzelec/Goerlitz (2010, 2011). In 2006 she received honorable mention at 3rd „Władysław Kędra” National Chopin Competition in Lodz. Most recently she got a Finalist Diploma on the National Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw in December 2013.

 

Building her international career as a concert pianist she has already performed in Germany, Italy, France and Slovakia where she has received enthusiastic reviews  “Beautiful sound, safety, control of pedal and phrasing as well as a natural, poetic musicianship” (Giornale di Brescia).

 

She participated in many courses and masterclasses under the guidance of various outstanding teachers such as: Andrzej Jasiński,  Boris Petrushansky, Alexey Orlovetsky, Jeffrey Swann, Claudio Martinez-Mehner, Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń, Piotr Paleczny, Józef Stompel, Wojciech Świtała, Anna Malikova, , Jerzy Sterczyński, Grzegorz Kurzyński, Ewa Pobłocka, Stefan Wojtas, Tadeusz Chmielewski, Michał Szczepański, Andreas Henkel.

 

She attended the 18th, 19th and 20th F. Liszt International Master Courses for Pianist in Wrocław (2011-2013) - where in 2012 and 2013 she was honoured to perform the opening piano recital. She was also a participant of the 1st and the 3rd International Piano Masterclasses in Katowice(2009, 2010, 2012) and the Dino Ciani Festival in Cortina d’Ampezzo in 2013. Repeatedly she was taking part in the National Festival „Stars promote” in Jelenia Góra, where she was collaborating  with the most appreciated teachers and pianists in Poland.

 

She held grants from the Minister of Science and Higher Education in Poland(2012, 2013), President of Silesian University for outstanding artistic achievements (2012),  Association of Support Talented Youth in Zgorzelec (2006).
