Hisako Hirata

She has won numerous awards. She is the 3rd Prize winner in the International F. Liszt Piano Competition (Poland), 1st Prize in the Brest International Piano Competition (France), Finalist in the Pianoopen International Competition (France), the Best French Music Interpretation prize winner and the Best Chopin Interpretation prize winner in the International Piano Competition in Rabat (Marocco) and 1st Prize winner in Young Artist Competition (Japan).

 


Recipient of scholarship of Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, Ms. Hirata obtained Superieur Diploma of Piano execution at the same conservatory, Bachelor and Master Degree from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, Accompanist Diploma at Meudon Conservatory. In 2006, she was invited to Portugal from Viseu Conservatory with a scholarship to take part in the masterclass and to give the recitals. She studies period instruments such as harpsichord, clavichord and forte piano at Paris Conservatory. Mastered her skills under Halina Czerny-Stefanska, Marian Rybicki, Alexander Jenner, Patrick Cohen and Francois Kerdoncuff.
She has performed throughout Japan, in Europe and North Africa as soloist, chamber musician and soloist in concerto performances with orchestras. She has performed extensively in many cities of Japan, Europe and North Africa, e.g. in Paris, Nice, Wien, Sofia, Wroclaw, Porto, Viseu, Tokyo, Kyoto, Casablanca and Rabat, etc…
Her performances have been broadcast on the television and radio in Japan and abroad. She has been featured by numerous major newspapers including “The Mainichi Newspapers”, “The Asahi Shinbun”, “The Ibaraki-shinbun” and “La Provence”. She has made a recording for compact disc on the Jeysmusic label.
