Kierc Rozalia
Rozalia Kierc was born in 1999 in Wroclaw, Poland where she studies at International High School of Wroclaw. As a musician and pianist she is developping her skills at the Zelenski Music School in Cracow, prof. Stefan Wojtas piano class. She achieved considerable artistic success taking part in many international piano competitions in Poland and abroad winning mostly first prizes likewise grands prixs and special prizes.
ozalia is a scholar of many institutions supporting young talents: Minister of Culture and National Heritage “Young Poland” 2014, President of Wroclaw since 2008, Polish Children’s Fund (KFNRD) Warsaw since 2009, ZDOLNY SLASK (Talented Lower Silesia) Scholarship of Lower Silesia Marshal since 2010, Pro Musica Bona Foundation Cracow since 2011. In 2009 she came under care of KIWANIS Club Wratislavia and since 2013 of Bank Zachodni WBK Foundation.
She achieved considerable artistic success taking part in many international piano competitions in Poland and abroad winning mostly first prizes likewise grands prix and special prizes (Gstaad - 2013, Munich - 2012, Nice - 2012, Vienna - 2011, Budapest - 2010, Usti nad Labem - 2010, Warsaw - 2010-2011, Goerlitz - 2008-2012, Glubczyce - 2009, Szafarnia – 2008, Opole - 2008) as well as the nationwide composing competition (2012). She participated in many master classes and workshops with D. Yoffe, V. Nosina, U. Bartkiewicz, A. Jasiński, M. Woskriesienski among others. Her involvement in “Borderless Bieszczady International Pianistic Forum” resulted in numerous prizes, among them the Audience Awards (2013, 2014), main Forum prize “Golden Parnassus” (2014), saw her nominated for “Kryształki Zwierciadła” Award by “Zwierciadło Foundation” (2014). As well as ELZBIETA AND KRZYSZTOF PENDERECKI ARTISTIC PRIZE (2015).
Repertoire Rozalia is working on consists of the piano masterpieces. Her interpretations reveal great artistic personality. Her interests include wide spheres of artistic creativity: instrumental virtuosity, vocal music from baroque to our times, theatre, dance, letters and last but not least musical improvisation and own composition trials. Rozalia is also passionate reader, takes photos, designs the computer graphic, web projects and adores Woody Allen’s films. She is always very creative individual. Her stage appearances look very natural as she feels comfortably in front of an audience and loves to perform (significant concerts: Munich, Gstaad, Lviv, Prague, Vienna, Nice, Cracow, Warsaw, Luslawice, Olsztyn, Kielce, Kalisz, Bydgoszcz, Duszniki Zdroj, Wroclaw). Several recitals were given for charity.
Rozalia started her public performances at the age of 8. She made her debut with orchestra at the age of 10, performing Mozart’s Concert-Rondeau A-Major KV386 during the 2nd Young Pianist Festival of Rubinstein Philharmonic in Lodz, Poland. Her adventure with Mozart’s orchestral oeuvre was later continued by playing his 23th Concerto KV488 with Orchestre Regional Cannes Provence Cote d’Azur under Philippe Bender. This performance, taking place in 2012 at Conservatoire Regional Nice, France, gave Rozalia the first prize of the Concours International de Piano Nice Cote d’Azur. In 2013, under the auspices of the Polish Embassy in Bern, she performed in Gstaad, Switzerland at the 7th New Year Music Festival with the New Year Music Ensemble. In December 2013 she performed the Chopin’s 2nd Concerto with the String Quartet at Palace Nymphenburg in Munich under the auspices of the Polish Embassy in Berlin. The same program would then be performed in Cracow Felix Mendelssohn 9th Music Days 2014 and at Penderecki Center in Luslawice. She also collaborated with the Lviv National Chamber Orchestra Akademia under I. Pylatyuk, Cracow Chamber Orchestra under S. Krawczyński, Kielce Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, Olsztyn Philharmonic under P. Sułkowski and Sinfonietta Cracovia under J. Dybał (performing piano concertos by Bach, Mozart and Chopin).
Past Autumn she toured through Poland (Kalisz, Czestochowa, Cracow, Warsaw) as a soloist with the Young Polish Philharmonic Orchestra directed by Grammy 2014 co-winner Adam Klocek. Last concert, in Lutoslawski Studio in Warsaw, was recorded.
