Nehring Szymon

Szymon Nehring is one of the most talented and promising pianists of young generation in Poland. Thanks to his brilliant performances at the 17th International F. Chopin Piano Competition, he was the only Polish competitor to play in the final stage and received many concert invitation from Poland and abroad.

 

Currently, a student at the Music Academy in Bydgoszcz in the class of Prof. Stefan Wojtas. Earlier studied for 11 years under Olga Lazarska in the ''M. Karlowicz'' State Primary Music School in Krakow and ''F. Chopin'' Secondary Music School in Kraków. (For eleven years time he’s been a student at the Chopin memorial Musical College in Krakow in class of Prof. Olga Lazarska.)

 

Regularly participates in music festivals and competitions. His latest artistic achievements include 1st prize and 6 special prizes at the International Piano Competition „Halina Czerny-Stefanska in memoriam” in Poznan, Poland (2014) and 1stprize at the International Piano Competition „Arthur Rubinstein in memoriam” in Bydgoszcz, Poland (2014). In 2015 he performed in the final of the 17th International F. Chopin Piano Competition, where he received distinction, audience award and a number of additional prizes, including one for outstanding artistic creation and for the contributions to the Polish music.

 

In November 2015, Szymon released his debut CD with music by Polish composers.

In December the same year, he went on a tour with the Santander Orchestra performing Chopin's Piano Concerto in E minor in best Polish concert halls in Luslawice, Wroclaw, Katowice, Warsaw and Szczecin.

Gave concerts in many countries (Austria, Estonia, France, Canada, Germany, Norway, Russia, Ukraine, Hungary, Italy).

 

His upcoming concert plans include performances in the USA and South America, subsequent concerts with the Santander Orchestra, e.g. at the 20th Easter Festival of Ludwig van Beethoven in Warsaw, concerts in Paris and Strasburg, and in many towns of Poland.

 

Szymon Nehring is a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (2010) and the Foundation Pro Musica Bona (from 2010). In 2015, he was awarded a scholarship of Krystian Zimerman.

 

Nehring is represented by the Ludwig van Beethoven Association.
