Zahaczewska Agnieszka
Agnieszka Zahaczewska (Poland) – born on 19 February 1991 in Krynica-Zdrój. She started her pianistic education at the age of seven. She was a student at the State Music School in Nowy Sącz, which she completed with distinction. Agnieszka’s first piano teacher was Danuta Jarząbek, and from 2007 she learnt piano playing in Professor Stefan Wojtas’ class. In 2010 she passed with the best result an entrance examination to the Academy of Music in Kraków, where she has been studying under supervision of Professor Stefan Wojtas. She is a laureate of several reviews of music school piano students in Krynica-Zdrój. In 2006 she won the 3rd prize at Stefania Wójtowicz National Competition in Jasło and distinction at Władysław Kędra Piano Competition in Łódź. In 2007 Agnieszka won the 2nd prize at Juliusz Zarębski International Piano Competition in Warszawa-Łomianki and a special prize for the best performance of Juliusz Zarębski’s piece. In 2010 she appeared in a programme titled “Music inspires” made by Kraków branch of Polish TV in Kraków and was awarded with distinction at the 7th “Chopin in young pianists’ interpretations” Festival in Konin-Żychlin”. She gave concerts in Chopin’s birthplace in Żelazowa Wola and Chopin Museum in Warsaw as part of a series of Chopin piano recitals organized by Fryderyk Chopin National Institute. She also took part in master courses, working with such professors as Mariola Cieniawa, Józef Stompel, Andrzej Tatarski, Jerzy Sterczyński and others. Agnieszka was the holder of a scholarship awarded by the Mayor of Krynica-Zdrój, she was also awarded artistic scholarships by Almanach Muszyny Scholarship Committee. At present she is a holder of a scholarship granted by the Rector of the Academy of Music in Kraków.
