Photos from concerts of Eugen Indjic
On the occasion of the first one thousand of concerts realized by TiFL, there was a jubilee cycle of Liszt Evenings numbered 999 -1003 in Oborniki Slaskie, Brzeg, Wroclaw, Glogów and Trzebnica. The soloist was the world-famous pianist Eugen Indjic, whose phenomenal play sparkled sheer enthusiasm of the audiences at all the concerts.
Eugen Indjic. Grand Master is a small town
"... During this extraordinary event it was impossible not to submit to the absolute delight of composure and calmness with which Mr Indijc charmed the sounds coming from the piano. Around unfolded the aura of concentration, seriousness, dignity and distinction. Words that quivered in the air with each stroke on the keys were "harmony", "balance", "completeness", "elegance", "refinement". Everything was in place, everything was a whole: the eminent, respected artist ("the epitome of what is best in music") - Mr Indjic; rapid stream of composition flowing by the river of black and white keys; unequaled master of words - Professor Adamowski; the gathered audience, bringing together many personalities from the local (but not only) circles of culture, art, and music; and the ceremonial, enchanting hall. And this stability, which in an ecstatic way intertwines with fantastic expression - something marvelous. /.../ In order to understand what happened that night, it was necessary to participate in the even, as no review will convey the presented artistry, virtuosity, or the emotions spreading through the hall. /.../ The artist smoothly went from quiet, slow, gentle strokes on the piano keys to raising voice with strong and expressive blows. Along with these changes the air thickened, the pressure rose, and the bliss transformed into infatuation. When the instrument fell silent, supreme silence prevailed in the hall, waiting hungrily for the next bars, or passing - first tentatively and then with passion and vigor – into a thunderous, standing ovation. /.../ Is the patronage of art and culture needed? Judge for yourselves taking into account the fact that each time the hall is bursting at the seams, and more chairs must be continuously added.”
