Bartosz Bryla

Bartosz Bryla is chair of the Strings Department at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski
Academy of Music in Poznan, Poland. and is a member of its violin faculty. He is
also a member of the violin faculty of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in
Wrocław, Poland.


As a visiting professor, Bryla has conducted violin and chamber music master
classes in Europe, Asia, the US and Canada, Mexico, United Arab Emirates and
Lebanon, including Guanajuato University in Mexico, Beijing Music Conservatory,
Hunter College of The City University of New York, Peabody Institute of Music of
the Johns Hopkins University Baltimore, Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofia in
Madrid, Spain, Wursburg Staatliche Hochschule fur Musik in Germany, Bilbao and
San Sebastián music conservatories in Spain and Zell an der Pram in Austria.


Bryla is a jury member of numerous national and international competitions,
including the Henryk Wieniawski International Bryla is a jury member of numerous national and international competitions,Violin Competition in Poznan,
Poland, Leos Janacek International Violin Competition in Czech Republic, Carl
Flesh International Violin Competition in Hungary, and many others.


As a Recording artist Bryla has been featured on EMG Victor, Polskie Nagrania,
Wifon, Poljazz-Classik, Emscherland Classik, Selene and world premiered a Violin
Sonata by Józef Wieniawski performed with pianist Andrzej Tatarski, and Concerto
no. 1 by Karol Lipinski with the Polish Radio and Television Orchestra in Warsaw
conducted by J. Salwarowski.


A dedicated teacher, Bryla has received numerous awards from the Polish
government and President of Poland. From 2007 to 2017 he was chairman of the
Henry’s Wieniawski Music Society.


Bryła’s teachers include Adam Nowak, Wolfgang Marschner, and Jadwiga
Kaliszewska. He also participated in classes with Henryk Szeryng, Nathan Milstein
and Yehudi Menuhin.
