Wachowska Magdalena

She was born in 1988. She is a graduate of the State Music School in Legnica in the violin class of her father - MA Ryszard Wachowski.

In 2012 she received Master of Art with distinction in the Academy of Music in Wrocław in prof. Agata Młynarska-Klonowska’s solo singing class. She is also a graduate of Postgraduate Studies in Speech Therapy at the University of Wrocław.

She perfected her skills during master vocal courses led by: Andrzej Dobber, Anita Garanč, Stefania Kałużanka, Drahomira Mičkowa, and Ella Susmanek, as well as in vocal interpretation courses conducted by Andreas Baumann from Carl Maria von Weber Hochschule für Music in Dresden.

 

She has received scholarships from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the President of Wrocław several times.

 

In 2014, she made her debut at the Grand Theater in Poznań, taking part in the first performance of the opera B. Cola - Angel of strange cases. In the following years she sang in Poznań the parts of: Ewa in Space Opera by A. Nowak, Maryna and Szynkarka in Borys Godunów by M. Mussorgski, Serafina in Divorce of Figaro by E. Langer and 2nd Lady in Magic Flute by W.A. Mozart.

In 2015, she received the J. Kiepura Theater Music Award for the best opera debut. She is a laureate of the A. Campi from Miklaszewicz International Competition in Lublin (3rd place), the H. Halska-Fijałkowska International Vocal Competition in Wrocław (3rd place), the Golden Voices International Vocal Competition in Warsaw (3rd place and special prize), the International I. Godina Iuventus Canti Vocal Competition in Vráble (2nd place and special prize) and the Polish National Vocal Competition in Duszniki Zdrój (3rd place).

 

She performed with the Lower Silesian Philharmonic, National Philharmonic, Opole Philharmonic, Podkarpacka Philharmonic, Poznań Philharmonic and Sudecka Philharmonic.

She took part in the Moniuszko Festival in Kudowa Zdrój, the Bydgoszcz Opera Festival, the International Vienna Music Festival in Wrocław and the Polish Music Festival in Krakow.

 

She cooperated with such conductors as Tomasz Bugaj, Massimiliano Caldi, Gabriel Chmura, Jacek Kaspszyk, Tadeusz Kozłowski, Marek Moś, Przemysław Neumann, Marek Pijarowski, Wojciech Rodek, Małgorzata Sapiecha-Muzioł, Jan Ślęk, Katarzyna Tomala, Grzegorz Wierus.
