Adamowski Juliusz
Pianist, educator and lecturer, actively engaged in various musical activities.
He studied the piano in the class of professor Wlodzimierz Obidowicz at the Academy of Music in Wroclaw.
For forty-two years, he combined his multi-oriented teaching activities at the Wroclaw Academy of Music (till 2001) with his 50-year artistic career in the field of popularisation of music. He is the author of the manual on teaching piano playing ‘a vista’ (without preparation).
The author and co-performer of around 4500 concerts popularising music in theme cycles for both teenagers and adults (also few hundreds of music and word concerts). Performed nearly a hundred piano recitals and more than a hundred half-recitals. Made a dozen or so radio and TV recordings.
In 1989, J. Adamowski initiated the idea of creation, co-organised, and became the first president of the F. Liszt Society in Poland. Organised several nationwide and international master courses and competitions for pianists. He was also a juror of both Internatonal F. Liszt Piano Competitions in Wroclaw.
For his activity, he has received high national distinctions and the Music Award of Wroclaw for the year 2001.
